Studio News

March 2008

It has been three full years since Rocky Mountain Recorders has updated its web pages. Sorry about that, but now we're back on top of it!

To those of you looking at our web pages and trying to keep up to date on the changes happening in the local music scene here are some of our updates from the last few years. When we last posted here, we had some visits from national artists like Snoop and Game. Since then, we have had many different talents of many varieties visit RMR. Here are some of the musical geniuses: In-Cog-Nito, Barry Shapiro, Jim Todd, Jacob Grenz, Ten Tiers, Kaiser Chiefs with iTunes, Zero Crossing, Mother Brilliant, Stephen Taylor, Natalie Oliver Atherton, Silva Parmalee, Brutal Hand, The Photo Atlas, Singers of the Advent, Born in the Flood, Dimension, Susan Lewis Wright, Dave Churchill, Trifocal, Only Thunder, The Swayback, The Laylights, Nathan and Stephen (now Hearts of Palm), and David Foster with Faith Hill working on Josh Groban's holiday album too.

We have also had some film work pass through our doors. We worked with Incite Films on "Skills Like This", which won audience favorite at South by Southwest last year. We did a little recording for 20th Century Fox and "The Simpsons." We have recently been working with GAIAM to produce some new videos for Billy Blanks and Rodney Yi. Last, we have a feature in progress with Fruition Films called "SUBURABN", which had been accepted to the Ciniquest Film Festival in San Jose.

RMR did some recording for a couple of books. One was Curt Pesmen's "The Colon Cancer Survivors Guide" and the other was for Robert Kessler and Random House called "The Fred Factor".

And lastly, but surely not the least AT ALL, we'd just like to place a big thank you to all of the companies who we see and hear from every year, and rarely get the nod of thanks tossed at them, those companies which keep us in business with their constant flux of clientele, you know who you are, because we see you a lot... Yes those companies... Thank you. From the bottom of the RMR teams hearts. We hope to see you soon.

One last thing... We have a myspace page! Go check us out! We're starting to post pictures and info there too.
Thanks again! See you all soon. -RMR Team
