January 2004
I guess you could say 2004 finds Rocky Mountain Recorders “in
the pink.” Our version of a baby boomlet produced two new girls
this past year. Last April assistant engineer, Heidi
Cluff, gave birth to Tallulah, and on December 18, Guila
was pleased to welcome Tesla Grace to the world. Both Heidi and Guila
are doing well and living in “mommy land.”
After fearing we had lost her forever, Heidi has FINALLY come back
to work on a part-time basis. We couldn’t be happier to have
her back. She adds such a nice, strange quality to our staff.
Although officially Guila does not return until mid-February, she
is in and out of the studio each week to share her beautiful baby
with us and help her interim replacement with year-end accounting
duties.
We have recently added the capability to burn DVD’s. We find
this has become a popular way for clients to take away copies of
their television or video projects for approval. Paul
has finished his gig as professor and is back in the studio Tuesday
through Friday.

It may be drab and cold outside this time of year, but inside RMR
the work of our newest artist, Judith Howard, makes for a warm and
colorful environment. Judith is a Denver native with a career in
the insurance industry. Needing an outlet for her creativity, Judith
began studying and painting oils a number of years ago. She now
prefers to work in watercolor and multi-media collage. Specializing
in abstract floral and bird themes, Judith’s love of bright
colors and shapes is evident in her work. Please feel free to stop
by and stare at the walls sometime soon.

We are currently working a real variety of music projects. Michael
is finishing up work on a blues cd for a nice gent named Rich Berney.
Andrew’s band, Grace Like Gravity,
has finished their first cd and they are anxiously awaiting delivery.
Our one and only freelance engineer, Randy Chavez, is working with
the fellows over at St. John Vianney Seminary to polish up their
second cd release. Each of these project show the great variety
of work we do here at Rocky Mountain Recorders. We hope to have
samples up soon.
