Don, you can call me Newby, is one-half
of the team that runs our dubbing/pre-production room. He is in each
morning and stays until 2:30pm. Theoretically, you will find him picking
out just the right piece of library music (if there is such a thing,)
or guiding you to the perfect sfx to make your commercial really come
alive. Conceivably, he knows about every piece of music in the library.
Clients depend on Don to prepare their finished spots, whether through
one of the newer digital transfer methods or the old fashion way,
1/4" tape, for delivery to radio stations. Newby also maintains
our sesson backup system (which is more difficult than it seems) and helps keep our machines clean and smelling
of zyline. Newby is an accomplished drummer, and much of his time
away from RMR is spent playing gigs for anyone that will pay him,
and teaching a whole new generation of kids to hit thingshard!
