Studio B's Rock Room

Connections
Rocky Mountain Recorders was the first studio in the region to add ISDN services, connecting our studio with locations world-wide to allow real time full-fidelity digital audio transfer, stereo or mono, via high speed data lines. We have CDQ2000 and a Prima 220 for mpeg configurations, and can connect via bridge to any other format. We also offer a high quality phone patch access to monitor sessions from anywhere via regular or cell phone.

More Useful Tools
There are over 2000 CD’s of music in our library, and over 100,000 on-line sound effects in our customized, studio-wide, instant-access database. Unique to Rocky Mountain Recorders is our pre-production services. On staff are sound effects/library music experts that know our libraries very well. They are always willing to assist you in your choices. If your project calls for a more unique treatment, we are specialists at producing custom music and sound design.

Radio & Other Audio
Radio commercials are like mini-tales. If you have a story to tell, we can help you do it. Whether your script calls for a clean, crisp voiceover, or an sfx-laden, custom music treatment, we understand the specific intricacies and challenges of radio production. Upon occasion we do enjoy stepping out of the :30 to :60 world and into long-form video, audio for the web, or ADR project. In addition to our studios, we are also fully equipped to handle your location recording needs, large or small.

Television
All four of our studios are fully equipped for audio sweetening. We can digitize your video using either our Pro Tools AV option, or our V-MOD digital video drives to allow for efficient addition of sounds to your video project. Our wide range of video format capabilities make it possible to work with almost any currently used formats; including Digital Beta, D2, DVCPRO, DVCAM, MiniDV, Beta SP, 3/4”, VHS, DVD and Time Code DAT.

Hi Tech
Our Studio B is equipped with a full 5.1 Genelec Surround Sound monitoring system, allowing you to create a multi-channel surround sound mix. We can then encode your mix to Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS, or Dolby Surround (Pro Logic) for broadcast or home theater reproduction. You can also take it home with you on DVD. Using DVD Studio Pro 2, we can create menus, assemble and author your DVD project. We also maintain an FTP server where your finished projects can be uploaded for ease of access to radio stations for broadcast, or to your clients for approval.

Audio Production/Post-Production
In audio production/post-production, we excel at radio and tv commercials, custom commercial music, long form video, audio for the web, ADR, audio books, or any other project that might need sound. We're even equipped to record on location.

Music Services
In music services, we cater to everything from commercial music to full out CD production. Each new project reaffirms the reason why we are devoted to this business—we are musicians, and every one of us is passionate about music.
